There is so much to admire in this image. The guy's white outfit and umbrella, contrasting with the lady's darker outfit; the juxtaposition of the pair; the position of the umbrella; the rain. It could be posed. Was it?

Thank you to all for your comments. This was probably one of twelve that I photographed. I was on vacation in Los Angeles at the end of August, lost trying to find the bus stop that would take me to Santa Monica and came upon this scene, so yes the scene is staged. They were filming a scene for a new television series early in the morning. I eventually found my bus, went to Santa Monica for the day and on my way back to Long Beach, through downtown Los Angeles, they were finally shooting the scene and I captured these images.
