Hmmm, I can now see why you did it, there's a lot of flare at the edges and in the corners it suppressed. That said, the sky still looks rippled by dark areas.

Of the three versions, I prefer the middle one (which I hadn't seen until after I saw the third version).

Thanks for comments, those are the risks wr take whem we try to pull details from highlights/shadows.
