    Risky business

We humans take so many things for granted - going out for a meal is low risk for us. But for some it could be a matter of life or death. I was trying to get a decent photo of a Spotted Tiger Moth and was amazed to see the results on the PC screen when I downloaded the images.
The moth has just settled on a wild flower (that I don't know the name of) and I took a few shots to home in on the subject.
On the flower group there is a beetle, an OOF fly about to land and the moth. There is also a Green Orb spider lying in wait.
    Risky business
The spider tries to relocate to attack, the fly has landed and the moth is unaware of the danger it is in.
    Risky business
Just in time the moth moves on.
    Risky business
And I got a mediocre shot of the moth.

A nice series. Yes, a pity about the last one. Oh so all but (W.S. Gilbert parodying Oscar Wilde).

Flower shots are always full of surprises for me too. Interesting set.
