A couple for Mike - "Pre-Natal" Wine
Nova Scotia has quite a few vineyards. It's a smallish industry but the wine on offer was a cut above, especially the whites. We enjoyed just a little of it (every day). These were taken whilst visiting a small vineyard near Wolfeville.

Lovely images... The interesting sky really adds to the first image.
Carrying a tiny spray bottle containing water (or water with a bit of glycerin added) can help to provide a "fresh" look to both fruit and flowers. I use a tiny spray bottle which once contained a cleaner for my eye glasses. I have the bottle in a Ziplock bag when I have the spray bottle in my camera case to prevent catastrophe if it leaks...

Very nice, John, especially the closeup of the cluster of grapes in the classic shape hanging in such nicely diffused light. Thank you!
I agree that Nova Scotia reliably produces very respectable wine. You mentioned that the white wines are especially good, so I wonder if you enjoyed red wine made from Marechal Foch. That was common in the stores and restaurants and was regularly the best of the local red wines I enjoyed when touring Nova Scotia.

Good result from what was obviously a tricky lighting situation.

Re: A couple for Mike - "Pre-Natal" Wine
Thanks for the comments all. Just had to capture these. Every time wine comes into the equation, Mike comes to mind.
Now there's a thought Richard. I always have water with me in the UK (Pack of bottles in the car) and I have a small atomiser such as you describe.
Geoff, you're right. The conditions were very contrasty but there was some cloud around and I had to wait for some cover.
Mike, we did sample some Canadian reds (by choice) but mainly in Toronto. For my sins, I didn't note any details. In Nova Scotia, it being the sea food heaven that it is, it was white wine that called and we deliberately selected local wines. These shots were taken in a vineyard called Domaine de Grand Pre but we also visited, sampled and ate in Locketts vineyard which we discovered was owned by a Brit (now very much a Canadian BTW) who celebrates his roots by having an old UK telephone box amongst the vines from which you can call toll free anywhere in North America. Looking at his WEB site, he does indeed include Marechal Foch amongst other in producing his red wine. This 6 image pano. was taken from our lunch table. You can just see the phone box on the left third. :
