Maurice,
This to my mind is a perfect photo. The slow shutter speed brings about the perfect blur of the water as it winds its way through the photo; the high aperture brings out details on plants on both sides of the stream
Kudos. You should definitely enter this in one of the competitions
Lovely scene Maurice but the water is a little too milky for me. That's not a crit, merely a statement of personal taste. Others will be of a different view. Great place to explore I would think.
Very nice image Maurice I would lift the very dark parts next to the lower left frame just a bit as they draw my attention.
One more excellent image Maurice, though I agree with John on the milky water.
I agree that some detain in the rocks (I THINK) at the lower image left would add to this image.
I pretty much cropped all that out as I too found the milk was more bothersome at the bottom than at the top. I also gave it just a tiny twist to the right because for some reason it just seemed a tad off kilter to me and opened up the lower left shadows.
It is really quite nice and I love the fall colors as they seem to be emerging.
Edit is just another person's POV and not meant to construe it being better; it is just from a different set of eyes.
What a lovely scene. I can spend hours kicking about such places. Well done.
First rate!
Maurice, what a nice shot! It's problem as far as I can see is the big blob of water at the bottom.....I can sharpen/modify/adjust the rest of the image but that blob still looks like a blob. The rest of it is bl..dy brilliant. Maybe Chris's modification should have chopped more from the bottom. But then we are left with the question of when is an image a "real" image......
