Fight like a girl, that is what I think here...She needs more active expression on her face. Is this one of your street photography or is this one staged by you? As for the shot, her exposure is good but the hair of the guy isn't. Just my opinion....

If you are looking at this as an image, it is pretty darn good except the aforementioned burned out hair.

OTOH: if you are looking at this as an example of a fighting stance (doesn't matter if that is a woman or a man) it leaves a few things to be desired.

My Dad was a Pacific Fleet Boxing Champion when he was in the Navy (eons and eons ago) and taught me a few things. One thing that he always concentrated on was keeping my fist closed before punching someone. Neither of her hands seems clenched into a tight fist but, her right hand is certainly partly open. If she were to punch someone with her index finger not clenched, it would be more likely to hurt her more than the person she was punching.

However, I have been told that any fight from a female victim of an attack by a male is often good enough to save her and sometimes jabbing to the eyes with an open hand/fingers is a good technique. Especially when the opponent doesn't expect any resistance.

    Hi Izie,

This was an interpretive dance piece at a local festival, so a bit of street and a bit staged. Thanks for commenting.

Nice image and good capture. Might be staged but looks like this lass can look after herself.

Agreed with all the above. Rather than Power, my caption would probably be Concentration.

I like that John. If that's street, it's been very well seen and caught. It's not easy to get your subject isolated in this way.
