If a young child had asked me just two weeks ago what the color of cauliflower is, I would have explained that it is cream-colored or white. That was until my local grocery store began stocking cauliflower I had never heard of.
Setup
The tabletop and background are a single sheet of translucent purple art paper. A medium continuous-light lamp is behind the background shining toward the subjects and camera. A small continuous-light lamp is high above the scene on the left side. It was fitted with a flag made of flat black aluminum foil mostly to prevent light from falling on the background and overpowering the light being transmitted through it from behind. A white reflector on the right side lifts the shadow areas on that side of the cauliflower.

I like the colors in the image but I think the composition looks a bit odd with those two cauliflowers at the top. They look as if they are hanging in the air. I would try putting them side by side and shooting them with their colorful reflections on a black table top. Or may be I would use the same set up as above but I would put the cauliflowers in a big plate or in a basket for more energetic compositions. Or you might as well try the other compositions which come to your mind
