Busy but interesting, I like images 3 and 4, #5 is very bleak.

Re: Scottish Parialment Building
I will start my comment on saying, I do find #1 and #2 interesting. Maybe that is how you have it there, very different from here. I prefer #4 to #3 because of its neatness. I am not a fan of this photographer favourite of yours. I don't even know him if I don't google him first. Just to show you my ignorance in this kind of work, nothing to it.
Now for the rest of my comment that concerns management of presentation of your images here -- I am not a young turk anymore. If you put your description of #1 on the line that says #1, then I won't have to scroll up and down to see your description of a picture shown. The same with #2 and #3 and #4 and especially the without description nor narration #5. Maybe we will (or I will or others will) have more appreciation of your presentation if put that way as I suggested??? I am just a beginner photographer, not like some who would claim to be professionals. So please help me understand...

Re: Scottish Parialment Building
Gary, your images (1 to 4) are full of interesting lines and shapes. Perhaps 3 would work as an abstract by composing on just the one wall. Similarly, composing on just the one building (grey and black) in 4. One niggle is that incomplete red word in 4. As for 1 and 2, what a strange interior, looking as though the roof structure is upside down. I suppose the building will appeal to those who are able to see the Emperor's new clothes, but I cannot!
Cheers.

Re: Scottish Parialment Building
This is a nicely done photo essay, Craig. I remember standing outside the building while we were visiting Edinburgh a few years ago, but did not have a chance to visit (I seem to remember it was closed to the public that day). It's nice to see that the interior is nice and modern, like the exterior.
One comment on the first two images. You are shooting in a mixed-light environment with both natural and artificial lights, so finding a compromise on the "best" white balance is tricky. The camera's AWB will definitely not be the best choice. I personally find that the shot is a bit too yellow and green for my taste and I would likely cool things down or even go B&W for this type of shot.

Re: Scottish Parialment Building
Thanks to all for your C&C as always it is appreciated.
Philip the red sign said Earth's Core, is was my mistake in the composition, I should have got the whole sign in the picture.
Manfred thanks for taking the time to amend the colour on the image, I do prefer your version.
Izzie I take on board what you are saying on the presentation of my images.
