Very nice capture. I think that I might crop some sky off the top.
Gorgeous mood and composition (though I agree with Richard about his suggestion to crop most of the sky). The one thing that I wonder about is why the moss is back lit by mostly bright light, not the orange light. This makes me wonder if the orange light in the sky and reflection in the water were not added during post-processing. I don't have much experience with this kind of photography so I only wonder.

Neither took place. Everything is just as the camera recorded it. The image I am posting is after initial RAW editing, but that's all. I did further enhance some shadow detail in PS and gave a tad more pop to the red channel and a bit to the blue channel. I wonder if the blue channel pushed the grays up a tad. I trimmed quite a bit out of the sky by going to a square crop. I'll play with a touch more but would have to go back to the RAW file to recrop completely. Oh well.
Very nicely done!
Liked this; but for me it looks like two weird zombies...
Very occasionally, we get a copper sky like that and it is strange to experience let alone photograph. That's a very nice shot and comp. given that sod's law generally has you nowhere near something decent to include in the shot when it happens.
Great image I love the warm glow.
We get skies like that but they're usually only when we have a good forest fire going on nearby.
Nice shot.
At first sight I had the same thought as Mike has, but after seeing the original , I think your editing created some unnatural/fake look. I'm sure you can fix it with some more PP I also agree with the comments about cropping most of the sky. Very nice scene
I appreciate the comments and the suggestions but I have to tell you, I went back to the edited file (I save all layers) and I did so little in PS other than bumping the curves in two channels to almost not being significant. However, to be fair, I am going to redo the entire image to see where the change starts. One thing though, if you have never seen Spanish Moss up close, it is one of the most difficult things in nature to shoot in a backlit enviroment. We'll see.
I like it. Has the WB got a slight magenta tint? Not objectionable but just curious what an adjustment would do.
