You can't use all of Nik tools as standalone. Only HDR, Color Efex, Analog Efex allow you to open images. Remaining others tool not allow you to open the images
I think the programs with a file tab, like the one in the video, have a 64-bit shell around it. I can't open them in xp, 32-bit.
