    Aspect of Marysville

I took this photo on a recent trip to Marysville Victoria. My first interest in photography is 'shapes and sizes' especially B&W. Please C&C as constructive criticism is always welcome.

This would have worked in colour or mono Ole. The composition is spot on and that cloud is to die for. The only problem I can see is that there is a lack of definition. I think that this is down to file size rather than lack of sharpness or use of noise reduction. Is this perhaps a heavy crop?

Very minimal crop. The lack of definition I agree with ---now.

Nice one Ole, For me B&W works well but I would have cropped at the light coloured field to give a 16:9 ratio. I think it would have dramatised the storm front more.

The image's layers and light are so nice I wish I could view it in a larger size. It's difficult to critique or fully appreciate at such a small size.

+1 to Mike's comments. There is so much detail in this image, it really needs to be available in a larger size so that it can be explored on a full screen size.

From what I can see, the textures look wonderful.

+1 to Mike and Manfred's request to see this larger.

Great capture. This almost looks like a painting in the primitive genre...

I agree with Richard -- it looks more like a painting in its effect. Will that be because of editing or is this really how the scene looks in person? Awe-inspiring. This can be translated as a postcard of some sort to give away to some friends in a foreign land. Like the larger version -- would have been nice to see it in 1600 pxs.

Izzie, when I started the PP process I noted the 'painted effect' and played with that. It was not intentional at first.
