where do you find their names and where do I find one of those trees?
Enjoyed viewing Richard.
Some beautiful photographs there, Richard.
All nice ones, Richard...Did you purposely seek them for this shots? They are all beautiful though I feel some of them a little bit flat, could do with a little bit more structure.
An absolute delightful set of images.
And the butterflies proved irresistible to the cameraman!

Fantastic images. Wish they were mine.
Nice series
A feast to eyes indeed
Many thanks to all who commented.
I went out looking for scrub wrens - small fast moving birds that forever hide in the shade and thick scrub. It was quite by chance that I saw the butterflies and turned my attention to them. The lighting was quite a challenge with extreme dynamic range; their wings were in sunlight and the body and feet in deep shade. Front or back lit shots were an equal challenge. Those shots in grassy areas were made difficult by 20kts of wind.
I managed only one pretty average shot of a white-browed scrub wren.
And a rather coy little bird.
I kinda like the detail of the feathers of the last birdie...but it is a butt shot...oh well...the butterflies it is then....
Stunning pictures very envious of you
