Some more attempts at Stained Glass
Following my postings from Gloucester Cathedral, here are a couple from Tewkwsbury Abbey. For each of these I only took one shot, at 1600 ISO. The non-window part of each image was almost pure shadow in each, so that although I applied some noise reduction, it had little effect. The windows themselves were fairly well exposed. I applied the Transform tool, either skew or perspective to straighten them, and in one case I adjusted the white balance. Otherwise there was just a bit of sharpening.
1) Tewkesbury Abbey Publicans Salvation Window

2) Tewkesbury Abbey St John, St Fides and St Cecilia

Like the Gloucester images, these were taken in September.
Comment and criticism welcome.

Re: Some more attempts at Stained Glass
John, the awe and wonder of stained glass windows is in the vibrant colours of most examples and so, for me, the surrounding frame is of much lesser importance in capture and processing. These are beautiful windows and well taken, but I wonder if something more could be achieved in PP.
In the first perhaps the colour has a bias towards the reds, and in the second the colours are still rather dark. If the images were mine, in the first I would want to shift towards a cooler balance and also brighten the bottom left; in the second I would attempt to enhance the colours, while trying to retain local contrast for the details.
Just some different opinions, of course.

(Naturally, I will delete this image if you so desire.)
Cheers.

I agree with Philip, John...his version is smaller though.
