    Beginner perhaps, but you certainly seem to have got the hang of it. This is very nice!

    Excellent, really nothing to want for in being able to see all the detail sharp now.

    I just wish it was attached to something, rather than floating.

    I assume there might have been stacking artefact problems with the leaf?
    Or perhaps it just didn't get illuminated by the flash?

    I actually had to go back and check it out. It wasn't illuminated.

    I did use the flash as a bg darkener. My tripod wouldn't go lower and I didn't want to risk the Chrysalis by moving the leaf it's attached to. The crop was what placed the chrysalis o advantage.
