Helpful Posts: I saw this little lady a couple of weeks ago when she was quite small. I am surprised she hasn't been eaten by the birds. She is now quite formidable at about 150mm from tip to toe. Her mate is quite diminutive he is wise to stay on the other side of her web.
You could make fishing line out of her web.

That is an impressive spider. My least favorite of all creatures, by the way. Unless one considers ebola virus as a creature

No, I am not that fat like your spider just that I gained two pounds since my operation a month ago...
Losing it is the hardest part...
Anyway, I like the second shot between the two here because I now know the reason why your particularly lady is getting fat just by looking at its victims there...can you ID your spidey?

She's a Golden orb weaving spider (Nephila plumipes), one of our bigger spiders - non-venomous.
My old Mum always said "Let a spider run alive, and you'll have good luck all you life". So far it's worked for me
If I had been referring to the Boss I would have been in BIG trouble.
