I don't know about PSE 7 but I use the NI plug-in (6.0 pro+) in photoshop CS5 now , and use to do so in CS2. It's a great piece of noice reduction software what gives you the ability to keep doing the job in higher ISO values wihtout worrying too much about the noise and just improve the overall IQ. Left of allt he automatic settings NI works very well, but the advanced mode is worth studying.
    I hope this helps

And if you would like me to give you a sample: just send me some photos you would like the see the effect of NI plug on (preferably high resolutions ones)

    Hi Jeroen,
Thank you for your comments which have made me very interested in NI plug-in ( 6.0 pro+ ), however i wonder is photoshop elements 7 compatible or would i need to upgrade.
    Best Wishes, Pat.

I think v6.1 is for 32bit Windows. I have it even though I have a 64bit machine as I normally use 32bit CS5 (problem with other plugins on 64 bit). For Elements you need v6.1. It's a good product.

    V6.2 is for Windows/Photoshop 64bit.

    Hi Pat,

Yes, you may ask another question.

A couple of us here recently got the Acer Aspire M5811 from PC World, although I'm not sure if it's available in your neck of the woods.

It isn't the cheapest, but seems to work OK.
1TB HDD, 6GB RAM, and other stuff I have forgotten ...

    Cheers,

    Pat,

I've used Neat Image for almost 2 years,it's a really good program.I've tried a few other programs,Noise Ninja,Noiseware,Nik-Dfine.I downloaded Topaz DeNoise and have run some images through it.I REALLY like this program.
User interface is very easy to understand. It gives you a lot of options and the results are great.
You might want to download a trial version and give it a go.

    Thanks Dave,
I'll check out that Acer and see how far the funds will stretch.
    Jim,
Will download the trial version and hope my old pc can take the shock.

Neat Image is great - see some examples here:

Don't forget that Neat Image works in stand-alone mode as well - you don't need to integrate it with any other program.
