My Son hasn't got his camera with him so he just sent me this from his phone. When I was his age such a thing wasn't even dreamt of.

OK it's a pretty poor image but The Plough (Big Dipper to our American cousins) can be seen quite clearly as can Polaris.

I just bought a Google Pixel XL last week and it was said to have a good camera phone in the market so far as Google put a lot of effort in developing that part of the phone than any other phones in the market. So I spent almost two days now trying to learn how to use it. I find the camera part a bit too inconvenient so I bought an app called Camera FV-5 which simulates a DSLR functions. Then found a phone tripod adapter at Amazon. Anyway, Richard -- that was a good shot coming from a small phone, a scene I might never be able to take...

Hi Joe,
He is in Whitehorse, it's been overcast with light snow for a few days but then the sky cleared and this popped up and just as quickly disappeared.
