Autumn colours, Beach Hibiscus.
The only trouble is it's Spring and we never get Autumn colours. I blame it on the drought.

Spring is nice...the fact that Australia doesn't have much name for seasons about from hot and cold and wet and dry is not much of a problem. I love it that way...anyway this is such a simple shot. It will be nice if you remove that line of grass on top of the leaf and while you are there, take care of the shadow of it too. Nice find!

Izzie, I have been told the Indigenous people divide our year into about 8 different seasons. Where I am located we often refer to Sprummer and Sortum - the hot weather between spring and summer, and between summer and autumn.
Much better without the blades of grass, Richard. Would you consider giving the colours a boost?

Sprummer? Sortum? -- thanks for taking the time to think of these words to help scatter my breakfast to my other keyboard near the wall... Next time I will be careful opening my email and take a little peek first...
