    Not a pleasure pier

I love piers....this is on the entrance to Blyth harbour. It's not a pleasure pier, but there were plenty of Fishermen out there on a Sunday afternoon - I am sure they were having a pleasant time.

    C&C welcome

I wonder if you could get away with a tad more highlights, but keeping an eye on preventing any surf from over exposing?

I'm curious Kaye, about why you set the pier on the left in the comp as opposed to on the right curving into the frame. Deliberate perhaps?

Wonderful tonalities. The sky's subtle tones are just gorgeous.

Thanks all for the comments. Yes John - deliberate. I have various images of the pier but felt this was the best composition - it was the only one where the grass, sand dunes, pier, people and land beyond came together. Looking the other way is another pier as this is the entrance to the harbour. Thanks Geoff for the critique - I will play with your thoughts.
