    A boat and a skyscraper

I one of my walks around Melbourne I came upon this scene. The boat is actually a restaurant just near the city centre. I just liked the framing of the building. C&C most welcome.

The composition and concept remind me of some photos I like a lot made in the first half of the 20th century, and that's a compliment. Unfortunately, I can't remember the photographer.

Consider cropping at the bottom to eliminate the foreground pier.

+1 to Mike's comment, especially regarding the pier. It isn't adding anything to the composition.

I would remove the whole metal portion below, making it landscape like and also would name it "Confusion"

I just now remembered the photographer, Todd Webb, and the image he captured in 1946 I was thinking of. Click this.

I would have gone a little farther down the side of the ship. Just enough to get rid of the pylons on pier.JMHO.

Ole, next time I go back for a visit to Melbourne, let's go for a photowalk...you find some interesting stuffs to photograph...

John (Shadowman) the waitresses were given a bra and told to "fill 'er up" You know...like Hooters. Sorry, I can't help that comment...
