Old door, take 2 (well, takes 3 and 4)

In the light of the very interesting comments I received on my first color and B&W tries with the ugly green door, I went back and tried again. This time, I chose the leaves: a red maple for the color and a tan London plane for the B&W. I desaturated the ugly green in the color version, and I added a lot of structure to the B&W using Silver Efex. Comments welcome as always, if you aren't yet bored with these.

I, too, thought the leaf made the original, Dan. Between these two, I prefer the colour version. I can "feel" the texture of the paint in the b&w version and it makes me recoil a bit. Too much time spent with an oil paint-laden brush, I guess, and waiting for the paint to dry.
