Are there any out there?
Are there any out there?
Fuji make an 18mm f2 for their X-System which is pretty close at 27mm.
Panasonic make a 14mm f2.4 which is bang on 28mm for their Lumix range.
Nikon make an 18mm f2.8 again giving 27mm.
A range of 18mm primes available. What mount? Nikon 18x1.5=27 or Canon 18x1.6=28.8
Heres a link to the Nikon version: http://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-pro...%252f2.8d.html
However why do you need a lens with exactly the equivalent FoV of a 28mm?
I don't need it exactly that focal length - just between 28-35mm. But I've been shooting street stuff with a Ricoh GR II which is 18.3 and I'm used to working at that distance, so I want to replicate that with my D7100. If that makes sense?
The 18.3mm is rare apparently and very expensive, so I might have to settle for the 24mm

What about the Sigma 10-20mm that is 15-30mm, nice lens also, have taken some great pictures with it mated to my old D7000.

cheers Allan I'll check that out

Although a larger cash investment, the Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM is ideally suited for the tasks that you describe.

I would also suggest the Sigma 18-35, but it is pretty massive, certainly in comparison to your Ricoh. Is this for a different project, or for street stuff at higher resolution (just out of curiosity)?
street stuff, forget it now though I bought a 2nd hand D600 with a 35mm lens

Matt,
The 12-24mm f/4 Tokina Mark-2 might be what you are looking for... On your Nikon it is an 18-36mm equivalent. The price isn't too bad either here in the USA, however I don't have the pricing for the U.K.
I use the 12-24mm Tokina f/4 Mark-1 on my Canon crop cameras and it does a very nice job.
