Re: American Bald Eagle
That is spot on. The pose is just right for the character of this bird. Very nice image.

Re: American Bald Eagle
What a wonderfully imposing looking creature. The perfect pose.
I'm seeing a halo running down the left hand side of the body (as we look at it).

Re: American Bald Eagle
I see it too but only there and nowhere else. I'll have a closer look in PS. I always sharpen exactly the same so it makes me curious.

Re: American Bald Eagle
All I can say is WOW.
I'm envious of you being a location where this shot is possible.
Very very nice indeed.

Re: American Bald Eagle
Nice shot, Chris. My favorite angle with the back and tail showing. Feathers are much more attractive than the breast. I'm still not used to seeing eagles in pine trees. A relatively new phenomenon as the southern populations recover. Really nicely done.
At this moment I'm in Haines, AK, shooting on the Chilkat Eagle Reserve. For anyone who loves birds and has never been here it is quite the experience. Lots of birds(literally hundreds) this year. More than I've ever seen here. But the weather has been horrid with rain or fog every hour of both days so far. More rain forecast for tomorrow
Oh well. It is Alaska....
