Could be nature and could be people...
We were out in our back yard letting our dogs do their evening bathroom duties (we never let our dogs go out alone at night) when my neighbor came up to our fence, carrying an injured coyote on a garbage can lid. He had found the coyote which had been hit by a car about a quarter of a mile from our homes. Apparently one of its legs had been broken. He was damned lucky that the animal did not bite him
We had him place the coyote in one of our dog runs and called local animal control...
The animal control officer came within 30 minutes and administered a tranquilizer which zonked out the coyote so it could be placed in the animal control truck.
Judy wanted a picture but there was a 6-foot chain link fence between me and the action. I simply popped up the built-in flash (first time I ever used it) and placed the lens on 17mm wide angle and then reached up over the fence to shoot the picture at ISO 640, just pointing the camera in the general direction towards the action. I didn't want to go in the dog run. I wasn't afraid of the coyote but, the animal had knocked over a pail of water and I was not wearing shoes...
I don't know what will happen to the coyote and didn't really want to ask...
This is a vignette of life in a semi-rural area!
