The man in that picture could tell some stories. You captured him well.

Very nice portrait, I like it, but IMO, the background is too present, you should blurr it

Thanks Jean... have toned down the background in this version.

Ashish - I definitely prefer your first version. This is not a studio shot, so why are you trying to make it look like one? The background adds context, and while this is not quite an environmental portrait, it is showing some of those characteristics.

    I agree,

Jean's suggestion to blur it, mainly the sharpest bits above his head, was valid - that's what I'd have done, rather than (all but) remove it.

I am on the side of the natural look, Ashish though I took very little notice to the background. The face of this man is more pronounced and strong with each and every lines of experience etched so vividly. I like it so much I voted for it.

Thank you all for taking time out to comment. I think you've made a valid point Manfred. I will rework this image in a few days.

Excellent shot of an awesome subject, Ashish. I also prefer the original version. Subduing the BG a bit isn't a bad idea but the second version takes it a bit too far IMO. Nice job.

Fully agree with Manfred. I can see many stories in his eyes
