    Waiting for a loan

Taken on Yonge Street across from the Toronto Eaton Center Shopping Mall, here in downtown Toronto.
I came across this scene while walking down Yonge, and considering the irony, grabbed this shot.

Nicely captured, the shadows should be lifted a bit but it might reveal you taking the image. I like the contrast of the subject's conditions against the supposed aid lying right behind. Some critics of these type of establishments might suggest that they help lead to what lies outside.

    John,
    Thanks for the comments.
I do appear in the shot, immediately below the "Pawnbroker" sign. However, I didn't brighten the shadow areas because I felt all the important elements were bright enough, and there is nothing in the black window areas that adds anything to the shot.

That will be a long wait since it is still a little bit of daylight left before the doors open the next day. At least he is first. I like the story here...

    Izzie,
I'm happy that you like the story being told here.
However, I truly doubt that he is actually waiting to get a payday loan as one requires a paycheck to do so.
This is just one of many storefronts that are the temporary homes of street people. It was just the photogods being nice to me that the subject was sleeping in front of this store and not the one next door when I passed by.

I know that, Robert...it is just that the image reminded one of those kinds, sort of, waiting for the iPhone 7 to come out so they can be first to have it...and the image is not as badly depicted, just a semblance.
