Artist Bluff (Franconia Notch), New Hampshire

About a half mile hike up to Artists Bluff. A front was just starting to slam into the mountains and the wind was howling.

Just for the view the hike was worth it but the bonus was this fantastic and most beautiful image.

Really a nice shot, Jim. Well composed and executed. The size of the whitecaps on the lake support your description of the wind. That's some intrepid photography. Nicely done.

Nice shot Jim, although with the weather blowing in, I wonder if there was a bit of a spring in your step as you headed back down the hill, after taking this shot, in order to avoid getting cold and wet...

The site looks familiar, I suspect I may have been there some years (decades?) ago.

Really good Jim, if I had anything i would change - a slightly lower angle to lose the road at the bottom left - but not at the expense of the trees/rock base thats great - love the depth of detail and would have loved to be there - my kind of landscape / weather
