    Perhaps on the other side of the gate, that red and white barrier kills the shot; at least for me..

    I know what you mean. There's less as 1 meter between the bike and the gate. The gate is used to close the drawbridge for traffic. I couldn't get rid of it. The sunken boat was the subject.

    Hi George,

    The second shot works far, far better with the stated aim of the sunk/sinking boat being the subject, but I'd have titled the thread "Off kilter"

    In the first, that boat is just part of an out of focus background - but the first shot is more 'postcard' (although I must agree with John and Greg).
