Dory - (A bit Arty)
Forgive the framing. I'm was hoping for something that might find it's way on to a wall. C&C welcome.
Original Fuji X file but lots of PP since.

Re: Dory - (A bit Arty)
John, I'm more of a newbie so I can't pick it apart but I do like it.

Lovely shot, John. IMO it doesn't need the textured treatment. It's artistic enough of its own accord. I'd love to see that excellent reflection as clearly as possible. Either way an excellent image. Well done.

I'm thinking too grainy and a lot of potential

Even with the texture I like it.

Re: Dory - (A bit Arty)
The framing did not do very well for me as much as the image itself. I understand your thoughts but perhaps no frame will be better achieve like what I was telling John (Shadowman) in another post -- metal or perhaps his glass fracture will be a better one to try...to give it a modern outlook. Otherwise the image is great. Good composition.

Nicely done and it's no harm to try different things.

I like it as it is. If it was taken a century and a half ago it would come in my favorite impressionists era (with a touch of absinth)

Re: Dory - (A bit Arty)
Thanks all for the comments. If this goes on the wall (Current discussion - "Yes, but where would you put it?"), I will probably have it printed on canvas, hence the texture. It wasn't intended as a pure photographic offering. I will post the original Image for comment but separately. For me, the two are different in context and I wouldn't really want to compare them.
