Stacking Software: darned if I can figure it out

I enjoyed the free trial offer of Z.. But I can't afford it.

I dl'd ImageJ & Fiji. But they really confuse me.

Would anyone know of online resources that might take away the confusion?

You should be able to find a lot of info through youtube. For specific, detailed tutorials the link below always pops up.

Brian, I know nothing about stacking macro shots so this might be useless and/or you might have seen it already.

Stacking software shouldn't be a chore, I think the difficulty or setup that needs most attention is in the capturing of the image.

And now a big thank you to James G. He had a copy of Combine Zp which he suggested I dl and try. It is basic and straightforward.

James beat me to it. The Combine programs (there have been a number of iterations) are quite good. When I first started macro, one of them was used by some of the best macro photographers I found on the web.
