    Super(ish) Moon

Headed for the cliff tops tonight to have a go at getting a shot of the moon as it cleared the horizon. I only have a 200mm and with 16MP I was never going to get epic images but I did have hope and a blind refusal to be beaten by mere technicalities - the weather though had other ideas

I did get a few shots as it poked through gaps and one of the ferries that ply between North Shields on the Tyne and Amsterdam every day played ball and floated past when I was there - now to be fair this is two shots combined as the moon had disappeared behind a particularly unhelpful cloud when the ferry went passed but we'll push that particular technicality aside for artistic licence reasons

I like it, it's different, haven't see the moon for days.

I'm seeing blue, yellow, and white lines across the foreground.

Very nice shots Robin, thanks for posting the ferry-less ones.
I was hoping to maybe get something like that with the moon setting, but, we woke up to pea soup fog here so I got to stay in bed this morning.

Love it. We don't get many ferries going past Glenfarg, so this is one I just couldn't have done.

It certainly gets us away from any feeling of 'another moon picture'.
