Old Trains

I havent posted for a while, just enjoyed looking at all the other posts and being a bit envious of the results.
I had a visit to the Prairie Dog Central vintage railway just on the nothern out skirts of Winnipeg. It was a cold and blustry day and the lighting was not all that good. Thought I'd post some snap shots. Just used a Nikon D3200 with the kit 18-55mm kit lens.
No.1 1882 steam engine is used from May through Oct to run tourist escursions.

No. 2 Plaque on the engine

No.3 Old No 3 in the shop for the winter

No. 4 Engine bell

No. 5 Quick snam of a flock of Canadain geese flying overhead

No. 6 Anerican steal enhing outside in storage

No. 7 Platforn looging south to Winnipeg

No. 8 The Old station

No. 9 The water tower


Again nothing earth shattering just some snap shots.

Hi Pat, nice shots. I like the composition of no's 7, 8, and 9. Railway tracks make great leading lines to draw us into the scene.

I like the strong foreground elements in #8 and #9, and love the sky in #9. I think the horizon might be tilted a tiny bit in #7.

Yes, down the series images are becoming more and more interesting; it is always interesting to see wide expanses of land with bisecting railway tracks...
