    Conker on Oak

It has rained pretty much none stop for a couple of days so after doing the school run this morning and getting wet, taking the dog out mid-morning and getting wet and pottering around the house like a loose end (not getting wet but getting bored and getting wrong off the wife for being under her feet) I decided to take a picture of a conker.

This was taken under natural light from the kitchen window, softened slightly by placing a transparent measuring jug used to fill the steam iron just to the left. There was a pale cup to the right to kick a tiny bit of fill light in and a black knife sharpener block thingy in the background angled so it was mostly in shadow. A well equipped, high-tech studio I have not - but that ain't gonna stop me and I do like to improvise

Well done. Your improvised lighting brings out the texture in the conker!

I like it. You should get wet more often.
