    I don't know much about this type of photography I'm finding it hard to understand the camera settings you used?

    Surely you could of used a wider aperture, which would of enabled you to increase the shutter speed for an even sharper image?

    Saying all that, it is a nice image.

    Yes I could shoot at F/8 and use a higher shutter speed. But if I did I would lose detail. Detail is not sharpness. Try it yourself with landscapes. Try a 15 or 25 second shot. Ansel Adams was a master of long exposure.

    Detail isn't sharpness I agree, but detail does need to be sharp.

    Nice photo Brian. I understand what you are trying to achieve with the title and photo, but if it was mine I would probably try a really tight crop so that none of the background leaves are shown. That way the grasshopper would take up most of the frame with a lovely soft background behind it

    that could work but at the lovely angles and road like leaves
