    Vignette

This shot was taken a couple seconds before the original post. I wanted to try a vignette effect, and I was too close on the original to apply the vignette without affecting the wings, which I have done even on this one. Aside from the Vignette and border, and the usual RAW tweaks and sharpening I desaturated the yellows.

Geoff, I will have to do some reading up on Elements in order to find the correct selection tool in order to try your method, but I think I will try it on some different shots. I'm worn out on these for awhile and will give it a rest.

I'm still not there with this one but I think I like it better than the other 2.

I've leaned some valuable PP tips here, and also as I go through these photos realize that I should have put more thought into composition when shooting. Not that easy with butterflies, but in this case there were hundreds flying around, so I think I would have had the time.

Thanks again for the feedback everyone.

You beat me to that one, Wendy. It's like saying Richard Branson needs a few tips for making ££££.

Getting there Wendy, definitely better than the first two, a big improvement.

Thanks Dave, and thanks for suggesting the vignette. That one is easy for me to do in LR, but it did not even occur to me to try it.
