Nice shots.
Or a snake or an alligator/crocodile
But well shot!
Well caught! - both of you!
And that all without chewing!

Awesome images.
Hi Brian,
Right place, right time, right capture skills - well done.
But what happened on the second one in PP?
The first looks natural enough, but the second is over the top with contrast and saturation, did it get a double helping of LCE or similar?
The odd thing is I'm sure I saw that shot earlier, this thread or another, perhaps a Mini Comp, and it wasn't like this there.
Puzzled, Dave
Is that a Floridian GBH, or one from Bedfordshire?
The BG in the second image is a bit distracting. I think it is because of overprocessing as Dave already mentioned. But the bird doesn't look overcoked to me. So, I would fix the surroundings . Nice shots
I think that if it were in Bedfordshire it would be called a Grey Heron they seem very similar to me.
This one is a Great Blue Heron from a parking lot retention pond in Port Charlotte FL. It was actually part of the same shoot as the bugs on the yellow flower. I was running errands with some breaks between scheduled events.
I wrote it up at https://birdsnbugs.com/2016/11/17/an...ldlife-safari/ nothing new there except for a couple of flight shots.
Yes, it is overprocessed. I was trying to make sure I had the eyes on the catfish and overdid things trying to make it come out. It isn't helped by heavy cropping after the PP. Here are the in-flight shots.
Four really nice images.
Well captured
