    This one is not working particularly well for me as the technical flaws are significant. When I bring your image into ACR and look at how well you have preserved both highlights and shadow details, the answer is that you haven't. The blue areas show where you have lost all shadow detail and the reds where the highlights are clipped.

    Had I submitted an image like this during any photography course I have ever taken, my professors would have given it a failing grade. Had I submitted to a publisher or stock image site it would be rejected for not meeting specs, in fact it is not even close.

    This shot may well have failed in a photography assignment, however, how would it fair in an art assignment?

    Fernando, well executed vision. There is humor and wit in your capture. For me, technicalities are not as important as the meaning, mood, or message of an image.

    It takes just a little bit of extra effort and work to make this work both technically and compositionally.

    It only works artistically if you like looking at large areas of pure black.
