    Freezing frame shots

An other hard frost in Perth yesterday.
Below are some shots I took yesterday. #3 is a bit out of my comfort zone.
    C&C is welcomed, especially #3.

Hard times for wildlife which your images show very well. Nothing wrong with a festive shot.

    The birds look good.

Berries are a tricky subject, as I know from experience. I have found that avoiding sunshine often helps. Also with a scene like this you ideally need to either do a bit of pruning before shooting or stack a couple of focus points.

Thanks Maurice, the hard frost has given me different photo opportunities.

I particularly like #1 and #3. In #3, I think that the rather harsh lighting actually enhances the shot, emphasising the kind of wintry light. The oof foliage in the lower half also makes a positive contribution.

Looks particularly cold. Don't send it down here Gary. My particular favourite is no. 2 for its quirkiness.

It was really cold for four days, though there is a bit of a thaw on now.
I have seen Mallards fighting in the water all the time, it was good to see them on the ice.
