A Cold, Bright Start to the Day

I was up about 7ish this morning and while making my first coffee of the day I noticed the sky was getting a bit of colour in it so set the car on defrost (it was -2°c) bunged the dog and the camera in the boot and headed off down to the beach.

I know not everyone is a fan of contrails but they do add a bit of fun to some shots...

The contrails helps in a big was. It's a fabulous image. If only i could get out of bed.

I'm a naturally early riser though I have to say getting up and going out are two very different things - it was cold down there this morning.

It's not often (in fact I think this is the first time) that I find myself saying that contrails actually add to the image.
