Hi phiduypdn,
Could I first ask for a first name please?
my first name is Duy ( i'm from vietnam)
Somewhat belatedly, welcome to the CiC forums.
I think we may be losing something in the translation here. The other thing that isn't helping is mixing up
MP (mega
pixels) and
MB (filesize in mega
bytes), they are not the same thing.
sorry Dave, it's my mistake
1) This is why 14 MPixel camera can produce only 5 MByte files (probably jpg).
yeah.. it's what i meant.
2) I think you're asking why some files are larger (not 'heavier') than others?
However, without knowing whether you are talking about the same things when comparing the two different cameras; for example, whether one is set to shoot at a lower than normal resolution (e.g. 3,200 x 2,400 pixels instead of say, 4,800 x 3,600 pixels), or whether one is set to shoot at a different 'quality' (e.g. Normal, Fine, Super-fine, etc.), it is very difficult to answer accurately.
the cameras r working at their highest capacites
3) For the same filetype; e.g. both jpg, yes, almost inevtiably, a 7MByte file should give better quality than a 5 MByte one.
that's why i asked, Dave. my 10mp camera ( compact) produces up around 7Mb file. but other DSLRs' files are just about 5Mb :-? while they are 14mp or even more.
I hope that helps,
