Instant smile for me! How often have I seen that? My daughter's Lab will play with a ball until she is absolutely exhausted. However, my Goldendoodle will only play with the ball when the Lab is also playing. She has no interested in playing with it when she is alone. The Goldendoodle is taller and faster than the Lab and this frustrates the Lab so much that she will bury the ball so that the Doodle won't get it!
As far as the image goes, if it were mine, I would think about cropping both the top and bottom and leaving it sort of like a pano...
It is one beautiful and fabulous image. Like Richard, instant smile.
Thank you for the feedback and even more the story...It made me smile. We love our labs. (He has a black sister, but she is much more difficult to capture with her color). Loved reading your reply, the image in my mind of your story made me smile.
Here's a bit of crop as suggested. No sharpening just learning
Thank you Maurice for your kind reply. Dogs are such lovable creatures. Lots of joy from them.
Nicely composed.
It's a lovely shot well captured

Thank you Ron. He's quite photogenic. He often poses.
Very enjoyable images to look at. Two dog looking in pool, priceless.
A beautiful pup, Sharon. They provide plenty of opportunities for practice. From your comment regarding the black lab some practice there could be in order too. Plus the dog lovers among us would enjoy seeing her too
Who doesn't like dogs? I love this shot...makes me smile too thinking of the many times I had photographed my rottie in the same poses each time. We now have two dogs, a corgi whom we call short legs, and a Blue Heeler. We have a ball gun like this one and everytime we play with the two dogs, both run and Roxy will get the ball and pass it on to Huey. Hubby was complaining because Roxy do not want to compete with Huey on who will give the ball back to him. 20 minutes later when they come in, they are completely useless following commands you might as well talk to the floor! Ay yay yay!!! I told him we got a relay team for the Dog Olympics.
