    Themed Photo Challenge #9 - Spring or Autumn

    This challenge's theme is: Spring or Autumn
    The closing date will be: 17th October 2010

    There are a few rules;
    A) Photographs must be shot after the theme was announced on 25th August 2010
    B) Photographs should be posted in this thread before the closing date (don't leave it too late)
    C) If a person enters more than one picture, each should be in a separate post
    D) No voting for your own photograph(s)
    E) Since many do already, it seems only fair that everyone entering should cast votes (for each other's efforts)

    Voting;
    When announced, voting (open to any member) will be by Private Message (PM) to Dave Humphries, over a period of two days or so. This will ask you to state your favourite three photographs in '1st, 2nd, 3rd' order by "V number" reference. Scoring will be done the '3, 2, 1' points way.

    Theme topics;
    The winner of this challenge should then send me a PM with a theme suggestion for a subsequent challenge.

    This theme (#9), was chosen by Yi who won the #7 challenge in mid-August.

    Previous winners album

    The next theme is going to be: Close Up

    Good luck,

    As I live in the northern hemisphere mine will be an Autumn shot: conkers always evoke the spirit of Autumn for me.

    Note: Today, the Sun crosses the celestial equator heading south at 03:09 Universal Time. Known as an equinox, this astronomical event marks the first day of autumn in the northern hemisphere and spring in the south

    It's nowt to do with the meds, Gareth. My theory (knowing women so well) is that she was brilliant all-along, but was just pretending to be average. That way she could just play with us, like a cat with a mouse.... before the killer swipe of the paw.

    Thanks for your comment, Rob. It was after I posted the shot that I realised it was the first day of autumn/fall or spring hence my later edit.

    Another terrific shot Wendy
    good to see they fell for the old 'lull them into a false sense of security trick'
    - actually Rob I think we need to trademark this - much in the same way as we have Colin & his Photoshop 30 sec makeover....we can now have a 'Doing a Wendy'....aka quietly go about your business then after a while 'wham' hit the blokes with some real stunners

    Well, they have nothing better to do in Canada. All those long dark winter nights, it's either drink or photography. Wendy obviously chose the latter.

    Do you know I still cannot see some of Wendy's images this one included...rats, I mustn't be on the 'by invitation only' list. I promise I have stopped throwing food and I don't dribble half as much as I used to, probably not as often as I should.

    I will try to find the masonic key pad combination in past posts.

    Steve

    EDIT: got it...right click then 'reload'. I have seen this shot before but well worth the second viewing

    Suffer baby suffer. We are coming out of a long wet winter and the sun is starting to shine, the temperature is rising, the birds are singing - ah, spring.
