Not sure I've ever seen moiré on a fly's eye before . .
What part did ImageJ play in the development, may I ask?

Very sharp and colorful eyesI just wonder about the color difference between the body and the head .The colors don't match each other very much

Awesome, Brian.
SUPERB image Brian!!!
So I have to ask, how do you get the fly or similar objects to stay still? Do you chill them, drug themor something else I haven't thought of?
I have macro lenses but have not delved into the technique, so a master class from you would be appreciated!

Patience is the first requirement for macro photography.
Some of these Robber Fly species are a little more compliant than many of the really flighty insects; but never easy.
Is there a slight blue cast to this image?
He shout "stop" and they obey![]()
