The light and subjects in the scene are so dramatic that I look for a more dramatic composition; consider cropping at the bottom to eliminate almost everything except the bottom of the trees for a more panoramic orientation.

Cropped version is nice too but I think I prefer the original as the empty space in the FG adds to the feeling of cold and abandoned
