Taken inside a big plastic bag with LED lights shining through the opaque material. Barely any room to maneuver with at least two videographer and multiple photographers at work.

    f/1.8, ISO 200, 1/20sec.

l really like the first one because of the composition, the concentration in the musician's eyes and the motion in her hands. Consider toning down the bright area in the upper left corner, as it tends to pull my eye out of the frame.

    John,
    Nice story-telling shot.
As the musician's gaze is the focal point of the shot, I think a more severe crop to eliminate some of the distracting elements might be worth exploring.
I'd try horizontally cropping just below the cello's f-hole, and vertically to the right of the head of the bow.

    Hi Robert,

Thanks for the comments and suggestions; the proposed crop might work just concerned that part of the thigh will be still visible; could always clone.

    John,
I did a crude paper crop on my screen and I liked the result. Worth a try.

    Hi Robert,

I also used LightBox and it looked fine, might try a few other options.

John, under the circumstances described, that's a great shot. From the people and instrumentation around her, the tight quarters are evident, and you can see what you and she had to contend with.

    Hi Sergio,

Thanks for commenting, this image also shows the tight quarters and my need to be aware of my surroundings with dancers and instruments basically at my feet.

#1 is a very good composition as it originally was. I like that way. Both #1 and #2 may tell its story differently but the passion and concentration in their performance is what caught my attention. #3 may be tightly process but the negative vignette doesn't work for me ... must be that I prefer the darker vignette better to pull the focus to the subject better...just my opinion...mo offence meant.

    Hi Izzie,

No offence taken, I applied the vignette to sort of match the enclosure and also to give a sense of compression. Thanks for commenting.
