While in New Orleans, I'd get up every morning about six am and get out by myself on the street to catch any interesting subjects.
I'd see many of the same folks every day always guarding their particular patch of turf, including a man in a wheelchair who slept in it on the sidewalk near a convenience store.
On one particular morning, I found him asleep with his hands and face all pulled under his hoodie, as if he was shutting out the horrors of his day-to-day reality.
