    John,
Strange subject matter. Do you know the story behind the pig mask?
Also, I'm a little confused by the specs for the shot.
6.3 @ 1/800 is roughly equal to 5.6 @ 1/1000 which is a bright, sunny day exposure at 100 ISO.
your ISO was 1000 which is more than three stops faster so my only conclusion is that this was shot in the evening after sunset, or is there something else at play here?
As someone who shoots in daylight at 100 ISO, the Digital high ISO in sunlight philosophy has always escaped me.

    Hi Robert,

Still trying to work out the subject's persona, he was an announcer for a children's performance that was a combination of Christmas and vehicular safety. Regarding the shot and conditions, yes this was shot around dusk, there were brief splashes of sunlight which would quickly move towards a steady downpour, I bumped up the ISO just so that I could freeze the action while maintaining an exposure to the right. The settings allowed me to not worry about shadow detail. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

    Robert,

Within minutes the weather would become like this. Same or similar camera settings.
