His First Real Christmas, what it's all about...

My great nephew is cute. Everyone tells me that, but even if they didn't I wouldn't care... and he's super smart. We had the opportunity to do some child minding while his parents got some grown up time together. He is the first child in our family for some time, so it will be a treat for us all to enjoy his enjoyment of Christmas.

Handsome little fellow with, as Binnur mentioned, beautiful eyes. He's going to leave a trail of broken hearted females as he grows older.

Hope you don't mind but I played with this image a bit using NIK Viveza...



I tried to even out the lighting on the sides of his face so that the eyes would match.

I also tried to play with the white balance a tad.

Finally, I used the spot healing brush to reduce/eliminate the sniffle residue below his nose.

His right eye (image left) seems a bit out of focus as compared to his left eye (image right). I didn't try to change that...

This was just a quick fix...

These were not exactly posed,,. as you will doubtless relate to, trying to get an 18-month old to sit still is a real mission, so these were just snaps really for family consumption, but he is so striking I though it worth sharing.
