Excellent conversion, composition and depth of field! The details are displayed very effectively. Consider removing the roundish direct reflections on the gear and head on the left side. Unlike the direct reflection on top of the gear on the right side, they hide some of the texture, shape and color of the metal.

    Thanks Mike.

It probably needs flatter less direct lighting?

There are so many curves and surfaces in that scene that I would probably remove those minor issues during post-processing. That's because the only way to eliminate absolutely all of the unwanted direct reflections is probably to use a lot of light sources that are flagged or a series of reflectors that light the scene indirectly. If you move the light source(s) you used, you could eliminate the unwanted direct reflections displayed in this image but you would surely enter a never ending battle of getting similar direct reflections in other areas of the image. I wonder if that would probably also happen if you used only indirect light.

+1 to Mikes comments and I liked the pun in the title. Might also be interesting with an OOF tin (can) in the back ground to add some context.

    Hi Dave!

If you don't mind saying how did you light it?

    Thanks Terry,

I really like this lens - probably the sharpest I have ever owned.

Hi Dave I really like this image. Toning down the reflections would make a nicer image but they certainly don't ruin it for me.
