The sky as subject again
On a cruise we ended up departing Ushuaia at sunset following another cruise ship. The most incredible sunset I have ever seen.
Processing this with the sun blown and actual blacks in the clouds was driving me nuts. I ended up eliminating all the brilliant colors away and kept the monochrome version.
What I like about this is the lighthouse and cruise ship giving scale to the mountains. Particularly the distant mountains on the right side giving depth and some idea of the scale of the scene.
BTW, I'm off for two weeks or so so may not be engaged in discussion.

Nice compositions and lighting. Both versions are spectacular. Well done.

Re: The sky as subject again
I think I prefer the colour version Brian, it is nice to see dark and burning clouds together

Both of these images are quite amazing. I like the color especially, even with the "blown" sun
Nicely done!
